Indian Family Use Gang-Rape as Means of Discipline.

"Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others & because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; & (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, & leave them alone in the sleeping-places & beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great." So Allah tells his backward believers, in verse 4:34 of his semiliterate tome of tosh, the Koran.

This is why women living in the Islamic world are nothing more than chattel, they are the property of their fathers from birth & then they are married off to a cousin, whereupon they become the property of their husbands. The idea of personal choice is absolutely anathema. That said, the method of enforcement practiced by one family in India, as described in this report from the Times of India yesterday (hat-tip to The Religion Of Peace) needs to be seen to be believed:

Dad, brother rape girl for eloping with lover, held

The father, brother and two uncles of a 21-year-old have been arrested in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly gang-raping her for eloping with a man. The woman as well as her 32-year-old lover, a father of three, are residents of Dhaneda village.

They had eloped twice in July and again in October, and the woman's family twice filed an abduction complaint with police.

The first time, the man was let off by a court after the woman said she left with him by choice. After a second case was filed in October, she approached the Allahabad high court on November 2 alleging she was gang-raped by her family members at a nursing home and forced to miscarry.

On November 18, the HC ordered an FIR against her father Haakim, brother Saabir and uncles Sameen and Aashu. They were arrested on Monday. The four have been booked under IPC Sections 376D (gang rape) and 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent), among others. The woman's mother has claimed her husband and son are innocent, saying her daughter had made the claim "under (her lover) Gayasuddin's influence".
