Luton Muslim Arrested for Syria-Linked Terrorism.

'On the authority of Thawbaan: The Messenger of Allah said: "If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi."' So says one of the most authoritative compilations of ahadith in Islamic scripture, Sunan Ibn Majah, in volume three, number 4084.

Once some frothing dunce in the back of beyond proclaims himself to be the caliph, Muslims all over the world feel the need to go there & obey his every bloody whim. Such a frothing dunce is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the chief of the Islamic State, & the young man in Luton featuring in this report from Luton on Sunday today, Wednesday (hat-tip to Tommy Robinson @TRobinsonNewEra) now sits in a London police cell for trying to go to him:

21-year-old Luton man arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences

A 21-year-old man from Luton has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism.

The man was arrested at approximately 1pm today (Wednesday, April 27) by officers from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command (SO15), assisted by officers from the Eastern Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit.

He is currently in custody at a south London police station.

The officers are investigating suspected terrorism offences including plans to travel to Syria to support a proscribed organisation.
