Life in Prison for Murderously Insecure Muslim Husband.

While working with inmates in his nation's prison system, Danish criminal psychologist, Nicolai Sennels, observed several salient distinctions between the mentalities of the Muslim criminals & those of Westerners. These can be discovered at length in his essay written for the New English Review in May 2010 but they relevant ones are a glass-like insecurity, a tendency to resort to violence as a means of first resort & an unwillingness to take responsibility for one's own actions.

There is also the fact that unacculturated Muslims possess a tenuous grip upon their self-control, with a tendency to lose their temper at very little provocation. Unlike the previously three characteristics, this particular trait cannot be applied to the case of Mohammed Zaman of Leicester, who hacked his wife to death with an axe because of her independent lifestyle, as reported by the BBC yesterday:

Leicester axe killer Mohammed Zaman jailed for wife's murder A man who killed his wife in a "barbaric attack" with an axe and knife has been jailed for life. Mohammed Zaman, 45, pleaded guilty to murdering wife Sameena during his trial after the judge threw out his defence that he "momentarily lost control". Mrs Zaman, 34, was found dead at their home in Down Street, Leicester, with multiple stab wounds, in January 2014. Defendant Zaman was jailed by a judge at Leicester Crown Court for a minimum term of 22 years. During his trial, the jury heard how Mrs Zaman had moved to the UK from Pakistan in 2010 for the arranged marriage. Drank anti-freeze Zaman There had been a history of domestic abuse in their relationship following the marriage. Senior prosecutor Elizabeth Collins, said Zaman went to "considerable lengths to plan this barbaric act". "Sameena Zaman wanted nothing more than to make something of her life and was willing to work hard to achieve her goals in a new life in a new country," she said. "Rather than support her, Mohammed Zaman exerted control over her." The jury was told on the day of the murder Zaman consumed a "substantial quantity" of anti-freeze and went to his brother-in-law's house where he admitted the murder. At trial, Zaman's only option was to plead guilty after the judge threw out his defence of a temporary loss of control. After the hearing Hussain Asalat, whose family befriended Mrs Zaman after she moved to the UK, said: "She was an innocent young woman who has been killed for no reason. "She was a good, hardworking person who worked hard to support her husband, who was not working at all. "No words can express our sadness at losing Sameena and we have shed many tears for her."
